BEING A STORYTELLER I like to communicate stories, sometimes the most effective way to communicate a story is in audio visual format. Being passionate about the medium of television and video since childhood it seemed natural I'd pursue my desire to learn about program making and the broadcast industry. Following study in Art & Design then Photography, I graduated with a BA Hons degree in Television Production from Manchester Metropolitan University. I loved every aspect, from the creative to the technical, from pre production and planning to post production and edits. I especially enjoy creative aspects such as scripting/camera work/editing, graphics & animation (motion graphics were not a part of my coursework but I love that too so taught myself at home in my spare time and continue to play & practice, with Flash, After Effects, stop frame and frame based.
While I love to be a part of a production team and will happily do anything from run to produce, my own equipment for making video (until recent) had been limited and basic at best. However, this did not stop me from being creative and making the most of the little and primitive equipment I had. Below are some examples of what can be achieved with Windows Movie Maker, Corel Paint and a cheap camera phone. Although the top and most recent examples show my work in learning After Effects & Flash, having finally acquired industry standard equipment thanks to some good friends, which includes Adobe Creative Suite and a HD Camera. I still enjoy experimenting and learning and mixing it up with multimedia to create distinct styles. Below are some examples of my creative experiments.
